Getting started

For everyone invited to the closed trial. Pick your device — each section stands on its own. An account only comes into being once your address has been admitted.

Android

The Android version is in the Play Store, visible only to the trial.

  1. Open the test link on your Android device, signed in with the Google account whose address was admitted.
  2. Tap “Become a tester”.
  3. Then open eduphily in the Play Store and tap “Install”.

After joining, it can take a few minutes until eduphily shows up in the Play Store.

The link will appear here as soon as the store has approved the trial.

iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad the trial runs through TestFlight, Apple’s app for test versions.

  1. Install “TestFlight” from the App Store.
  2. Open the TestFlight link on your iPhone or iPad. TestFlight opens by itself.
  3. Accept the invitation and install eduphily.

A test build runs for 90 days; new builds arrive through TestFlight on their own.

The link will appear here as soon as the store has approved the trial.

Mac

On the Mac it works the same way: TestFlight, the same link.

  1. Install “TestFlight” from the Mac App Store.
  2. Open the same TestFlight link on your Mac.
  3. Accept the invitation and install eduphily.

The link will appear here as soon as the store has approved the trial.

Laptop and browser

No store at all: eduphily runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari — on a laptop as on any other device.

  1. Open app.eduphily.com.
  2. Sign in — see “Signing in” below.
  3. If you like, install eduphily as an app: in Chrome and Edge via “Install app” in the address bar or the menu, in Safari on the Mac via File → “Add to Dock”.

Firefox does not install web apps — there eduphily stays a tab and works just the same.

Open app.eduphily.com

Signing in

Access is tied to exactly one address: the one that was admitted.

  1. Choose “Sign in with Google” or “Sign in with Apple”.
  2. Use exactly the address the invitation was sent to.
  3. With Apple, do not choose “Hide My Email” — share your own address instead.

If you are turned away, the address usually does not match. Then simply reply to the invitation email.

Minerva’s key in five minutes

Minerva runs on your own API key from OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Anthropic (Claude). Billing happens at the provider, not at eduphily. Without a key, everything except Minerva works.

  1. Create an account: platform.openai.com for ChatGPT or console.anthropic.com for Claude. A ChatGPT or Claude subscription is something else and is not enough.
  2. Add a payment method and a small credit, about $5.
  3. Create an API key and copy it. It is shown in full only this once.
  4. In eduphily: Settings → Minerva → Access. Choose the provider, paste the key, tap “Verify”.

The key stays on your device. It only goes to the provider and is not synced with your notes — on a second device you enter it again.

Your data belongs to you

Whatever you write in eduphily, you can take with you at any time.

  1. Everything at once: Settings → Data → Backup → “Create backup”. Notes, images and scans end up in archive files, with a lot of material in several parts — keep all of them.
  2. A single folder: select it in “Files” → “Export …”. “Backup (JSON + files)” can be restored later, “Readable format” is for other programs and for printing.
  3. You bring a backup back with “Restore backup”, on any device. It arrives as a course of its own; your current notes stay untouched.

Reporting a problem

Report bugs straight from the app — that way the details needed to reproduce them come along.

  1. Tap Minerva’s round button at the bottom right (“Minerva’s actions”).
  2. Choose “Feedback”, then “Bug”.
  3. Describe in a few sentences what happened and tap “Send”. An email address for follow-up questions is optional.

The app version, your device details, the open view and the language go along by themselves. No screenshot, no content from your notes.
